Panel Frame with Cathedral Type Ceiling

Mecano recommend the Cathedral style ceiling, because of ease of construction.

The stud frame shed with cathedral ceiling is the simplest and easiest to construct. The design is similar to the flat truss style except the trusses are C section rafters that simply sit on top of the wall frame. Once the wall panels are in place, the rafters are simply lowered onto the top of the wall panels. It's that simple! In fact, Mecano have named it the Too Ezi ® system.

Ready to be Lined Internally

Stud frame sheds can easily be lined, and you will have the extra head height to give your shed that roomier look.
If you would like to line it at a later date, simply use 64mm top span at 450mm centres fixed to the under side of the rafters. 

Standard stud spaces are 1000mm for W41 Sheds and 750mm stud spaces for W50. (Speak to salesperson if 600 stud spaces are required for lining.) 

Please note that the shed regardless of stud spaces cannot be classed as a class 1 dwelling.

Precise Measurements

Because of the precise measurements calculated by the roll formers computer database and enable by specially designed Engineered Software there are no errors to cause delays in assembly. Each frame is precise and checked before leaving the factory.

The Roll Former

To create our stud frame system, the high tensile steel coil is transformed into stud frame by the computerised Stud Frame Roll Former.

The Flat Pack

Once rolled, the frames can be packaged in a 'Flat-Pack' ready for transportation. The benefit of the Flat Pack is the ease of transport. The Flat Pack System is made up of individual pre-punched and pre-cut studs, plate and noggin. Each wall is numbered and individually packaged, accompanied by an easy to read Instruction Manual.

Kit Homes and Sheds can be 'Flat-packed'. (A 7.5m x 9m shed can fit on the back of a ute.)

On Site Assembly

Once on site, the 'Flat-Pack' can be easily assembled by following the 'do-it' yourself' instruction manual.

A Mecano Stud Frame Kit Home can be assembled in a matter of days.
Each frame is Tek Screwed with pre-punched dimples so the location of studs and plates are pre-set.
This enables the erecting crew to assemble walls on site without jigs.
